The problem
This title by WEF Publishing focuses specifically on the global issues associated with Water Reuse and Desalination. Expanding on the success of ‘Water World’, WEF recognised the demand for an insightful, high quality informative publication to support the growing interest in this topic throughout the world. Following our successful redesign of the original we were tasked with designing this new sister publication from scratch.
The solution
Although similar to ‘World Water’ in content, it was not necessary for the design to have exactly the same look and feel. We decided to apply the same clean and simple grid but visually differentiate the publication from its sibling by using both serif and sans serif versions of ‘Meta’ as the house font. This has resulted in a fresh and clean feel that makes good use of white space to enhance the reader experience.
