With their worldwide authority on water and wastewater issues continuing to grow, and continuing on the back of their success of their other sister titles, WEF Publishing asked us to look at the design of this new quarterly magazine.
WEF Publishing recognised an opportunity to cover this emerging global market, considered to be worth billions of US dollars per year. With an emphasis on practical problem-solving and sustainable stormwater harvesting and reuse, the magazine targets water professionals with insights to learn about promising research and development initiatives.
For this publication we developed a versatile grid that creates a visual twist when images are broken out of the main hanging line. A bold, confident look is helped by the tightness and masculine forms of the Lexia typeface, used as the only house font. It was a conscious decision to develop a bold and contemporary aesthetic that helps create a clean editorial design.
